Master Leif Becker is the owner and Master
Black Belt Tang Soo Do Instructor at
Southbury Academy of Karate. Master Becker
is the 4th Degree Master Black Belt & owner
of Southbury Academy of Karate and Fitness             [picture]
since 1998. His students range from 4 years
old to adult. Over the past years, Master Becker
has developed six martial arts programs for
students of all ages and abilities. These programs include confidence building exercises, leadership skills, goal making and how to succeed by working with your inner self to make it all happen. Master Becker has designed these programs to allow students to reach their full potential, not only in the martial arts but in all areas of their daily lives.
Master Leif Becker of Southbury, Connecticut broke the world record of 487 boards with one hand in one minute. This occurred at Black Belt Magazine's First Annual Martial Arts Expo, Universal Studios Hollywood, July 30th, 2005. The previous record was 415 boards in one minute. This record was held by both Master Leif Becker and Mr. Mike Reeves from Florida.
